A note for fellow saree lovers

A Sabyasachi Alternative in Hyderabad, Honestly Compared

Most brides who walk into our salon after the Mumbai bridal circuit ask the same thing. They loved the romance, but is there a Hyderabad house that does the same calibre of bridal saree without the wait list and the flight. The honest answer is that the two houses are very different, and choosing well begins with knowing where each one wins.

Where the Mumbai couture house wins

Couture lehengas. A bridal jewellery line. Brand recognition in a wedding-album sense. A particular romantic, museum-of-India aesthetic perfected over twenty-five years. If your wedding hinges on a couture lehenga and a complete look styled in one room, the wait list and the flight may well be worth it.

Where we are the better fit

If the saree (not the lehenga) is the centre of your trousseau, and handloom purity matters, our archive runs deeper. Roughly a wide range of heritage handloom sarees on the floor at any time, with another two hundred in the bridal vault. Every Banarasi signed by the karigar, every Kanjivaram with a GI tag. Often the same weaver families a designer label sources from, without the third-party markup.

Price, plainly

A comparable bridal handloom from a designer studio in Mumbai or Delhi typically sits between four and twelve lakh. The same weight of handloom kadhua Banarasi or pure-zari korvai Kanjivaram with us lives between one-point-five and five lakh, because we sit one degree from the loom rather than three. Not the cheapest atelier in the city, hand-looming is slow, but honestly priced for what the silk and the labour actually cost.

How the experience differs

A Mumbai studio viewing is theatrical, fast-moving, beautifully staged. Ours is quieter. Two to three hours in a private salon at the rear of the Jubilee Hills atelier with a senior consultant, often Mayank himself, pulling pieces based on your palette, budget and wedding date. Chai through the afternoon. No commission selling.

If you have not visited Hyderabad

Roughly a third of our patrons start over a free forty-five-minute video viewing. We drape every shortlisted saree on a stand under natural light, walk the karigar marks on camera, and ship insured worldwide. Brides from Mumbai and Delhi often call it the most useful three-quarters of an hour they spent that month.

Frequently asked

Questions from our Hyderabad patrons

How does Trisha Silks compare with Sabyasachi?

For the saree, yes. We carry handloom Banarasi, Kanjivaram, Patola and Paithani at museum quality, sourced directly from weaver families with GI certification and Silk Mark on every piece. For a couture lehenga, the Mumbai designer house remains a category leader.

How does the pricing compare?

Comparable bridal-weight handloom sarees with us typically cost a half to a third of equivalent designer-label pieces, because we work one degree from the loom and do not carry the multi-store retail overhead.

Can a Hyderabad bride get that aesthetic without flying to Mumbai?

Yes. The heritage silhouettes that define the look (deep maroon kadhua Banarasi, oxidised-zari Kanjivaram, antique-finish Patola) are part of our archive. We can compose a similar romance from our own vocabulary, often at a fraction of the price.

Do you offer lehengas and bridal jewellery?

Lehengas, yes, through our bespoke couture wing led by Amrita and Mayank Mishra. Jewellery we do not retail, but we partner with trusted Hyderabad polki and temple houses for coordinated viewings on request.
