Privacy Policy
A house built on trust keeps its patrons' confidences as carefully as it keeps their silks.
Trisha Silks holds the privacy of every patron with the same care it holds a hand-loomed Banarasi. The policy that follows explains, in plain language, what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have at every step.
Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected by Trisha Silks through our website (trishasilks.com), our atelier in Jubilee Hills, our WhatsApp and Instagram enquiry channels, our private trunk shows, and any other touchpoint where we receive personal details from you. It applies to patrons, visitors, brides, their families, and anyone who corresponds with the house in any capacity.
Who we are
Trisha Silks (referred to here as "we", "us", "our", "the maison" or "the atelier") is the flagship Indian heritage atelier at Plot No. 795, Road No. 36, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad 500033, India. We are the data fiduciary / data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

- Heirloom records: photographs and notes you choose to share for restoration or recut commissions.
- Visit notes: appointments booked, pieces shown, follow-ups requested.
- Order details: garments commissioned, alterations, dispatch and delivery addresses.
- Website usage: IP address, device type, browser, pages viewed, time of visit (in aggregate, see Cookies below).

- To safeguard the maison, prevent fraud, and meet legal and tax obligations.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not place you on third-party advertising audiences.
Lawful basis for processing
For patrons in India we rely on your consent and on the performance of a contract (your commission) as the basis for processing, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. For patrons in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, we rely on Article 6(1)(a) consent, 6(1)(b) contract, and 6(1)(f) legitimate interest of running an atelier and serving our patrons.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are kept for up to 36 months from your last interaction. Commission and order records are kept for 8 years to meet tax and warranty obligations. Bridal memory books are kept for as long as you remain a patron and are deleted on request.
Security of your information
Information you share is held on access-controlled systems protected by encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, and is accessible only to atelier staff who need it to serve you. Photographs of bridal trousseaus are kept off public folders by default and shared externally only with your written permission.
Your rights
You may, at any time, ask the atelier to:
- Confirm what personal information we hold about you.
- Provide a copy in a portable format.
- Correct anything that is inaccurate.
- Delete information that we no longer need to keep.
- Stop using your details for first-look invitations or seasonal letters.
- Withdraw any consent you previously gave.
We respond to every such request within 30 days. Patrons in the EEA and UK additionally have the right to lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority; patrons in India may raise a grievance with the Data Protection Board.
Children's privacy
Our atelier does not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18. Commissions for young brides under 18 are accepted only when arranged by a parent or guardian, and the guardian's contact details are recorded as the primary point of communication.
