The Saree Shop in Hyderabad for Heritage Handlooms

For fifteen years, Hyderabad has come to a single doorway on Road No. 36 for handlooms that the powerloom market cannot weave. Trisha Silks is a maison, not a showroom, every saree is sourced directly from looms in Varanasi, Kanchipuram, Paithan, Patan and Chanderi, weighed for purity, and signed with the karigar's name on the reverse.

What we keep on the shelves

Handloom Banarasi (kadhua, jangla, jamdani), pure mulberry-silk Kanjivaram with korvai borders, Paithani with the traditional asawali pallu, Patola double-ikat from Patan, Chanderi tissue, Kalamkari, Bandhani, Tussar, organza Banarasi and bridal couture sarees with hand-embroidered blouses. If a particular cluster interests you, ask, we travel quarterly and can pull from the archive.

Why Hyderabad brides come here first

Three reasons we hear most often. First, certainty: every silk carries a Silk Mark, every zari is tested, every Kanjivaram has a GI tag. Second, depth of inventory, typically 400+ heritage sarees on the floor, plus the archive. Third, time: a senior consultant sits with you, not a sales associate on commission. A bridal viewing usually runs two to three hours; we encourage you to bring your mother, your fiancé, and a thermos of chai.

Beyond the city, video viewings worldwide

Roughly a third of our patrons live outside Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Dubai, Singapore, New Jersey, London. For them we conduct private video viewings (45 to 60 minutes, free, in English, Hindi or Telugu) where Mayank or a senior consultant drapes shortlisted pieces on a stand under natural light. Shipping is insured door-to-door with full customs documentation.

Pricing, and how we think about it

We are not the cheapest saree shop in Hyderabad, we cannot be, because hand-looming is slow. A pure Kanjivaram begins at around ₹35,000 and a fully kadhua Banarasi bridal saree can reach ₹4 to 6 lakh. What we promise is fairness: the same saree sold elsewhere as 'designer' is usually priced 1.5 to 2× higher. Every piece comes with a written certificate of authenticity.

Frequently asked

Questions from our Hyderabad patrons

Where is the best saree shop near Jubilee Hills?

Trisha Silks is on Plot No. 795, Road No. 36, Jubilee Hills, a five-minute drive from the Jubilee Hills Check Post and ten minutes from Banjara Hills. Open daily 10:30 AM to 9:30 PM. Bridal appointments are best booked over WhatsApp at +91 91123 91239.

Do you sell pure silk sarees, or are they blended?

Every silk saree at Trisha Silks is pure mulberry silk with a Silk Mark certification. We do not stock art silk, semi-silk or polyester blends. If you would like, we will conduct the burn test on a single thread in front of you.

What is the price range of bridal sarees at Trisha Silks?

Bridal sarees begin around ₹65,000 (handloom Banarasi or soft-silk Kanjivaram) and go up to ₹6 lakh for fully kadhua jangla, shikargah, or pure-zari bridal Kanjivaram. The atelier custom-couture range begins around ₹1.25 lakh.

Can I visit without an appointment?

Yes, walk-ins are warmly welcomed for everyday saree browsing. For bridal trousseau viewings (which usually take 2 to 3 hours and pull from the archive), we strongly recommend an appointment so we can prepare your shortlist before you arrive.

Do you ship outside Hyderabad and India?

Yes, insured shipping across India (1 to 3 working days) and internationally to the US, UK, UAE, Singapore, Australia and Canada (5 to 8 working days), with full customs documentation. We use FedEx and DHL.
