A Telangana Craft

If you love Svara, you'll feel at home in Hyderabad

Pochampally is woven an hour outside Hyderabad, in Bhoodan-Pochampally, which holds the GI tag for the craft. The tie-and-dye happens on both the warp and the weft, and the soft geometric pattern emerges where the two meet on the loom. It's Telangana's own weave, a quiet everyday luxury here, and one of the few handlooms most working women in this city already own a few of.
