Hand-thrown motif inlay on a translucent silk or cotton body. Each motif is woven thread-by-thread on the loom, no powerloom shortcut produces this technique.
Can Uppada be a bridal saree?
Bridal-weight Uppada with dense motif inlay works beautifully for summer weddings and reception. For the muhurtham, most brides pair it with a Kanjivaram.
