A Private Video Viewing, Walked Through, End to End
We are asked the same five questions about video viewings, repeatedly, by patrons who have never bought a heritage saree on camera before: How long? How do I see the zari? Can I test purity? What if it looks different in person? When does it ship? This guide answers all five, in the order they matter.
We have completed private video viewings. The conversion rate is high because the format is honest, slow, and visually rigorous, not because of pressure.
T-minus 24 hours, the pre-call letter
After your initial WhatsApp, a senior consultant prepares a written pre-call letter the day before. It contains: a soft shortlist of 12 to 20 sarees from the archive matched to your stated occasion, palette, budget and skin tone; thumbnail images of each; one-line weave notes; a draft running order for the call. You reply with the 8 to 10 pieces you actually want draped live, and any specific questions you want answered on camera.
Minute 0 to 10 to your story, not our pitch
The first ten minutes of the call are spent on you, not on the sarees. Your wedding date, your ceremonies, your other trousseau pieces already in hand, your skin tone in cool versus warm light, your mother's bridal saree (which we often try to honour in a quiet visual reference), your venue if you are willing to share it. This shapes how we drape every piece that follows.
Minute 10 to 40 to the draping
Each saree is draped in turn on a full-height mannequin stand by our north-facing atelier window, with two 5500K daylight LEDs filling shadow. We shoot close-ups of the zari, the reverse, the border korvai (if Kanjivaram) or the kadhua inset (if Banarasi), and the pallu at the angles you ask for. We move the saree under direct daylight for one minute and under indoor warm light for one minute so you see both lightings. If you want a burn-test on a single thread to verify silk purity, we do it live on camera.
Minute 40 to 45 to shortlist and silence
You name the 2 to 4 sarees you want to keep alive. We do not ask you to decide on the call. Within two hours of the call ending, you receive a written shortlist letter with each piece's full price (no hidden GST or shipping), the karigar's name, the loom cluster, the weave time on the loom, the blouse stitching included, and the shipping cost and timeline to your city. You take a week, a month, however long you need. We do not chase.
After you confirm, invoice, payment, ship
You confirm by WhatsApp or email. We issue a formal invoice (full HSN documentation for customs). You pay 50% advance or 100% upfront, your preference. Within 24 hours of cleared payment, the saree (or trousseau crate) ships by insured DHL Express or FedEx International Priority. Door-to-door transit: 3 to 5 working days to most countries. You receive a tracking number and our consultant's direct WhatsApp for any delivery-day question.
If something is wrong on arrival
You have seven calendar days from delivery, with original tags intact and muslin wrap unwashed, to request a full refund (less shipping) for any reason. Remakes are rare. Both safeguards are real.

Yes, we conduct a burn-test on a single thread live on camera. Pure mulberry silk burns slowly, smells of singed hair, and leaves a black ash that crumbles. Synthetic silk melts and smells of plastic. The test takes 20 seconds and is the surest proof of purity short of laboratory testing.
When does the saree ship after I confirm?+
Within 24 hours of cleared payment. Insured DHL Express or FedEx International Priority, 3 to 5 working days door-to-door to most countries, with full HSN customs documentation. You receive a tracking number and our consultant's direct WhatsApp for delivery-day questions.
