Kimkhwab Banarasi in Emperor Green
Atelier price · ₹1,95,000 (GST extra)
Kimkhwab is the heaviest of all Banarasis — so dense the zari overwhelms the silk and the cloth stands on its own. This piece is a 950-gram saree, woven entirely in real silver-gilt zari over a fine emerald katan ground, with a deep border of jewelled badam motifs. It drapes architecturally; it does not flow. Worn once for the muhurtam and folded back into the trunk, it is a piece for the daughter and the granddaughter.
